Bessie Moyers

Bessie Moyers (she/her) is an academic advisor in the College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences. She works with Communication Studies and Criminal Justice students. Ms. Moyers is originally from West Virginia where she earned her bachelor’s degree in history from Fairmont State University and her master’s degree in communication studies from West Virginia University. Ms. Moyers has worked in the UNC system for the past eight years with time split between East Carolina University and UNC Wilmington. Five years have been spent in academic advisor roles where she has enjoyed helping students meet their personal and professional goals.
