Quinlan’s Documentary Showcases N.C. Organization’s Enlarged Scope of Care

It’s been three years in the making, but Dr. Margaret Quinlan, Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Studies, is ready to share her latest documentary: “The Acoustics of Care.”

The story of DooR to DooR in Chapel Hill, NC, is where artists draw on narrative resources in attending to and joining with those who suffer. This enlarges the scope of care to more fully acknowledge the life-worlds of patients, staff and families. After all, people are ill, but they are not their illness.
