Inaugural Communication Studies Research Paper Award Competition

ANNOUNCING THE INAUGURAL COMMUNICATION STUDIES RESEARCH PAPER AWARD COMPETITION

Undergraduate students who have written papers in Communication Studies classes are invited to submit their papers for the Competition.

Two paper awards are available:

Communication Studies Research Paper Award, Senior

(for students who have 90 or more earned credit hours at the time they submit the paper)

Communication Studies Research Paper Award, Junior

(for students who have 89 earned credit hours or fewer at the time they submit the paper)

Winners will be recognized at the annual Communication Studies Awards Night with the presentation of a plaque and a $100 gift certificate to the UNC Charlotte Bookstore. The Junior Award winner will be encouraged to submit their paper to the 2016 Southern States Communication Convention, and will receive a travel grant if their paper is accepted for presentation at the Conference.

Eligible papers: All research papers written in Communication Studies courses during the 2014 calendar year. The competition is open to Communication Studies majors in all concentrations. Papers must be individually authored.

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, January 21st.

Students should submit an electronic copy of their paper to Carol Leeman, Undergraduate Coordinator, at cleeman@uncc.edu.
