Dr. Richard Leeman, full professor and former chair of the Communication Studies department, was recently honored at the UNC Charlotte convocation for 25 years of service at UNC Charlotte. Congratulations to Dr. Leeman for his many years of outstanding service, education and reseach to the department, the colege and the university.

Cheryl Spainhour is featured in the latest issue of Peace Magazine (Jully/September 2013) for her article, “Operation Dolphin 2012: Underwater Humanitarian Mission.”

Dr. Christine Davis was recently invited and has accepted an Associate Editorship position for the sub-disciplinary Encyclopedia of Communication on Qualitative Research Methods published by Wiley-Blackwell. The SD-IEC on methods will cover data collection and data analysis, both qualitative and quantitative. It will likely consist of 2 volumes with about 150 entries in total.
